Privacy policy

Who we are

BrikBooks provides job-cost bookkeeping for custom home builders in the United States. In this policy, "we" and "us" means BrikBooks. You can reach us at john@brikbooks.com or 1950 S Rochester Rd #1206, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.

What this policy covers

This policy covers our website, brikbooks.com, and the emails we send about our services. It does not cover the financial data of our clients. That data is covered by each client's engagement letter.

What we collect

When you use our Request an introduction form, we collect what you type in: your name, company, email, phone number, state, how many homes you build per year, your current accounting setup, and anything you write in the free text box.

When you visit any page, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic technical details such as your browser type. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks and spam. Cloudflare may set essential security cookies for this purpose.

We do not use analytics tools, advertising trackers or marketing cookies on this site.

How we use it

We use your form details to reply to you, set up a conversation, and decide together whether we are a good fit. We use technical data only to run and secure the site.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and respond to you:

• Cloudflare hosts our website, protects it, and stores form submissions in our own Cloudflare account.
• Resend delivers an email alert to us with the details you sent in the form.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep introduction requests for up to 24 months, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as your engagement letter says.

Emails from us

We may email business contacts, such as builders and their companies, about our services. Every email we send includes a simple way to opt out. If you opt out, we stop emailing you and do not email that address again.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email john@brikbooks.com or write to us at 1950 S Rochester Rd #1206, Rochester Hills, MI 48307. We will reply within 30 days.

Children

Our site and services are for businesses. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Where we operate

We serve clients in the United States. Our site is meant for people in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
